Great Bazaar

The Great Bazaar is an enormous market that spans top to bottom for several miles in the city of Sigil. It is wedged into the Market Ward, and anything and everything can be found for sale here by anyone and everyone from the planes.

Shoppers might find a priestess of Lolth hawking Deep Rothe jerky next to a Orthon selling their latest bounty’s (no longer needed) possessions. Things are kept mostly calm by the Mercykillers and the Harmonium factions, and the Transcendent Order faction will also occasionally step between potential rivals if they happen to be nearby.

Some of the merchants will refuse to take prime or even Outlands currency, and instead will demand more esoteric payments, such as a favorite memory, or water from the River Styx.

Some Shops or Stalls Between Small and Coats and Chirper’s Inn

  • The Lamia’s Layabout - A small shop owned and operated by a Lamia named Lirthonmir Tink. Her shop windows show an array of bedrolls, desert survival items, and odd knickknacks from around the planes.
  • Greebe’s Phil-Lack-Tow-Ree - A small handpainted sign hangs above a tiny stall wedged between larger shops with the shop’s name on it, hyphens and all. The proprietor, a small Kobold named Greebe, offers all manner of trinkets for sale. He claims some are magical, and proudly wears a damaged gemstone around his neck, claiming that it is his phylactery, and that he is a powerful lich. Rumor has it that some of his trinkets are definitely cursed, but most seem to be simple bits and bobs. He also moonlights as a Tout in the rougher parts of the city, and advertises that he can caravan cutters to Faunel for a steep fee.
%%He will often wax poetic about his long-lost brother, Greebo, that he left behind after accidentally stumbling through a portal in Gauntlygrym.%%
  • The Faerie Fire - A tiny shop, barely big enough for a single medium-sized creature to enter, is staffed by a series of mostly-identical sprites. They all answer to “Seven”, but each different sprite wears a different colored tunic. The shop carries all sorts of flowers and plants from the Feywild, including mushrooms that Seven called “SweetTreets” (yes, two ’e’s) that functioned as a roll on the Wild Magic table, with the added effect that too many consumed in quick succession caused the consumer to fall into a mental fog that lasted for hours, and could be permanent. The Bleak Cabal is currently trying to get this shop closed as they are tired of having to care for the “SweetTreeters”, as they call the mind-addled bobs that they find wandering the streets near this shop.
