Trip Log - Sigil to Gehenna

Revolvus, Week 3 - Sigil
I’ve been asked by Small to take a caravan into the outer planes to the Crawling City to deliver a package. Small didn’t tell me much about what it is, but that’s normal. I haven’t met the group yet, but he says they’re pretty solid. Here’s hoping. Gehenna’s nothing to laugh at, and we have to go by way of the Wasting Plains. But hey, maybe I can refill my supply of Nettles. That tea I made from them last time was strong enough to knock me out for days. Best sleep I’ve had in years.

Revolvus, Week 3 - Semuanya’s Bog
All right, I’m not as worried. Seems these guys can handle themselves overall. We’re all battered and bruised, but hey, I got some tyrannosaurus teeth! Heard there’s a shaman in the Beastlands what can tell me how to grind them down and make a paste that can regrow limbs. On the non-plasmoids, of course. Regrowin’ stuff isn’t usually a problem for me. gods, but do I hate the Outlands. I don’t mind the gatetowns, or the planes, but this place, with its incessant buzzing. Makes it impossible to sleep.

Revolvus, Week 3 - Hopeless
Good gods, what a day it’s been. On the outskirts of the bog, ran into some magical door hohum. Tag and Angelus staggered out of one of them like they had seen a ghost, and Josiah and Gobbie came out of another seeming like they had doomed a whole city. Only Chibro stayed with me and the cargo, but we had to flatten some sod that came at us swinging.

Then, we got pulled into some spat between some barmy sensates and some snake people, and barely made it out of there alive. Finally made it to Hopeless, battered and bruised, and Tag gets all put out because one of Thingol’s pets is showing off a memory he sold to some mirror witch out in the Outlands. Can’t be too pissed if someone uses what you sold them, I say. But the group was all ‘wah wah, let’s save the poor sod.’ Thankfully, before we could get too entrenched in that, Thingol saw us and asked us to transport a package. Of course, turns out it was her bleedin’ wight brother, or some such. The same sensates we met out in the outlands at that ridiculous snake temple had the gall to team up with some celestial and attack Thingol on her home turf. We helped drive them away, but not before Thingol bit it.

Seems like Thingol’s brother is gonna take over. I give the gate town a few weeks before it’s pulled into another plane.

Revolvus, Week 3 - Field of Nettles
Great news! I was able to scavenge some nettles! Excited to finally make that tea. We’re camped on the outskirts of the Field of Nettles, having made our way through the Wasting Plains with less effort than I expected. Josiah was worried about the two sensates that got lost in here after they attacked Thingol, but I say let ’em have what they get. Dumb sensies.

I swear I keep seeing something moving in the Field…Probably nothing.

Revolvus - Week 3 - Gehenna
Well, it wasn’t freakin’ nothing. It was a whole horde of these bony-ribbed horse-sized fiends. Just about took our heads off, but we managed to get through without much death. Josiah bit it, but Small contracted with Scribbler again. That guy gives me the creeps. Makes my slime quiver. But whatever, he resurrected Josiah. He and Chibro had a chat, too. Kept glancing at the crates. Probably should keep an eye on that…

But anyway, we made it to the river, hired on with a fallen aaismar named Dreri. Angelus made such big goo goo eyes at her when he first saw her that the gods on Mt Celestia saw it, but she seems oblivious. Tough lady, that’s for sure. Made the group all fight her before she would let them on her raft.

And once we got on, woof, the fun didn’t stop. Hit a bridge barricade run by some no-name nycaloth. Barely blew apart the barricade in time before we ran aground. Dreri didn’t seem happy about that, but whatever. Cargo’s safe.

Dreri managed to get us upriver to Gehenna, but it was rougher than I would have liked. Almost fell out of the boat at one point. Then we got accosted by some hydroloths. Those idiots, always thinking they know better than the rest of us. Almost recruited Angelus to join their little confidence scheme, but we blew them away, but their leader escaped. Bah. Sure that won’t come back to bite us later.

We’re camped on the side of the river, some ways up the side of Khalas. So glad I’ve got this sphere of fire immunity, as the others look pretty uncomfortable in the heat and the smog.

Revolvus - Week 4 - Gehenna
Well…Long story short, we got attacked by some kobold trickster demigod from Gobbie’s past that almost destroyed our cargo. Kor–Oh rattle my bonebox, I forgot about Kor–he’s Gobbie’s cousin, somehow. Ran into us in Hopeless and joined up. Anyway, Kor dunked him in the river. Wiped his memories. And then I think Angelus convinced him they were related, somehow? That guy is either more brilliant than anyone else on this plane or an absolute idiot. Who knows.

But anyway, kept going, made it under the Bridge of Khalas, thank the gods, and made it to the Night Market. I got to do some pretty decent shopping. Got myself a nice new set of armor. Not much else caught my eye. Don’t really know what the others did. Dreri stayed with the boat, as she always does. I think the guys tangled with the hydroloth again? They brought back a big crate of some sort of silvery goo in a glass case. Then they said they had to go kill a fire giant? Like I said, I didn’t get involved.

Oh, at one point, there were a few squirrelly guys messing with the friggin’ cargo! I think they were Hands of Havoc? Need to talk to Small about them… They didn’t do anything to it that I can tell, and Chibro checked too. But they popped open the lids, and then jumped into the river? I’ve never met a Hand that had much sense, but that was beyond their normal insanity.

Now we’re on the river again, finally. Angelus is still trying to talk up Dreri. It’s pretty quiet. We can see the Crawling City in the distance. Hopefully it’ll be a calm ride to it. But with our luck
