Molten Curtain

Where: Night Market, Plane of Gehenna
Type: Tavern

Description

The Molten Curtain is a tavern that sits in the back left corner of the Night Market. Its exterior is made of lava that appears to have been frozen in mid-flow. The building gives off an uncomfortable heat when approached, but when a creature crosses into the building using the oddly untouched wooden doors, the inside is far hotter. The inside is made of lava rock, but there are multiple large lava pools peppered throughout the tavern, and there is a large lavafall behind the bar.

All furniture in the tavern is made of carved lava rock; from the many scattered medium-creature sized tables to the two literally giant-sized recliners around a giant-sized table. In the center of this table is an enormous brazier that burns with a fire that seems more natural than regular fire, somehow.

Any creature that enters the tavern and is not immune to fire damage or heat will be overwhelmed by the heat within the span of a few minutes, with low-constitution creatures succumbing to heatstroke and death within the hour.
