The Demiplane
It is where time stands still while the forest breathes.
It is where magic sleeps to feed the roots of a new world.
It is where the brambles keep the outside at bay.
Overview
This demiplane is roughly 1.5 acres in size, with thick brambles around the outer edges. It is covered in thick earthy loam, with a single tall sapling standing in the exact center of the plane, covered in rounded leaves that emit a soft but bright light, illuminating the whole plane. At one corner stands a rugged pile of stone in roughly the shape of an arch, where the entrance portal forms. At the opposite corner stands a mirrored stone arch, with the exit portal.
State of the Plane
The plane is in an evolving state. Jeff told Chibro the plane will grow and change over time. The below is the current state of the plane.
Current Size: Small - 1.5 acres
(For reference, about a soccer field.)
Shape: “Soft edges” of thick, impenetrable brambles.
Gravity: Normal
Time Trait: Timeless
Morphic Trait: Alterable
Energy and Elemental Traits: No elemental or energy trait.
Alignment Traits: Strongly neutral aligned. Any creature that isn’t neutral aligned suffers a -2 to all Charisma checks while on the plane.
Magic Trait: Dead magic1
Inhabitants: Beasts, plants
Demiplane Age: 1 Week
Access: Via two portals. One to access the demiplane, a keyed portal in the Outlands. It is set in a metal ring that a massive tree grew around, about three hours from Faunel in a thick but passable forest. The portal only currently opens for those marked in the deal (Chibro, Tag, Josiah), who speak the command word, but can be held open and allow others through if willed so by those who have the key. The exit portal is also near Faunel, but does not require any key.

Improvements
The table below shows all improvements made to the plane so far.
| Improvement | Source | Effect |
|---|---|---|
| 10 Tons of Stone | Outlands via Portal | Unknown |
The stone was clearly heaped in a pile, but something has happened. You know how much stone Tollund dragged through the portal, and it seems like only half is there.
As you look around, Tollund, humming happy to himself, scrapes at the ground near the pile of rock, revealing a layer of stone a few inches beneath the loam.
You feel the light intensify slightly, and turn to see a few new leaves growing out of the upper branches. They glow yellow, like the rest of the tree. The bark of the tree shifts, and the bark takes on some of the striated layers of rock.

Dead Magic means no spells of any sort can be cast. Any attempted spells are supressed. If the caster leaves the plane and the duration of the spell is still active, the spell will work when they leave. If the spell duration ends while the caster is still on the plane, the spell slot is wasted. ↩︎
