Sheltering Sphere

Wondrous item, uncommon

This small metal half-sphere fits in the palm of your hand and is engraved with arcane runes along its curved surface. When placed on the ground and the top is firmly pressed, the item casts Leomund’s Tiny Hut.

Daily Use: Once per long rest, the Sheltering Sphere casts Leomund’s Tiny Hut without requiring a spell slot. You can use the sphere to cast Leomund’s Tiny Hut additional times by expending a 3rd-level spell slot.

Casting Time: Using the sphere to cast the spell takes 1 minute, as normal.

Spellcasting Focus: The sphere serves as the material component for the spell and does not require verbal or somatic components when used.

Once activated, the sphere glows softly and projects the dome of force around its location, forming the anchor point for the spell.
